I agree with literally everything. But I can’t be objective about it or like… neutral.
I really disliked tri because although it was cool they gave us tri, it was personally a disservice to a lot of characters in the original adventure and 02 series.
But ya, here’s what I think is a pretty objective standpoint on tri’s overall performance.

But I can at least let all my followers know my opinion on Digimon tri.
It is trash.
And I’m an actual fan of Digimon.
Let me elaborate
The plot was bad.
The characterization was bad.
Irrelevant side stories/plots.
Irrelevant as they were, some were dropped and forgotten between movie releases.
Forced & contrived dramatized interaction between characters.
Introduction of two new main characters that lacked real emotional investment.
Hikari “never forgiving” Taichi over a decision he has to make because she obviously doesn’t agree with it, but shortly after takes part in the decision made.
Sora — now I may be biased because she was my favorite character — was barely present. I mean yes she was drawn in, but her character was done no justice. She had little to no part in any of the movies. Someone said it on reddit but she seemed to be drawn in for the sake of it. Like I’m sure if they could have ret conned her they would have. Lmao
And the “grown up” decision they made?
Cool. That was genuinely a good point in the plot or like resolution
Not like they haven’t done anything else remotely similar.
But I can at least let all my followers know my opinion on Digimon tri.
